BAS Interfaith Group
We are a group of Jewish and non-Jewish singles, couples, and families that meet once a month to explore each others' beliefs, traditions, and common strengths in order to understand the differences, and similarities of our religious backgrounds.
Bnai Abraham's Interfaith Group is open to anyone and everyone who finds themselves touched by an interfaith relationship in their life. You might be a grandparent, parent, sibling, cousin, in-law, child, couple, or in a dating relationship or even a convert whose family is not Jewish. Our focus is dealing with our uniqueness.
We come together to socialize and enjoy our common thread. We choose topics to explore each month from which we branch out. We lean on one another, and learn from each other. Those of us with children have been able to enjoy watching them meet and socialize with other children who have the same common bond in their lives. They don't have to explain why they celebrate and live with two religions. Our children look forward to these monthly meetings, during which they play with one another, as well as enjoy Jewish holiday arts and crafts.
Rabbi helps us to understand issues and conflicts that we face through our choices and lives. He works with us in understanding the differences, and similarities in our religions, as well as issues that affect interfaith families.
Please feel free to join us at one of our meetings: even if you are unsure if this group is for you, please contact Wendy Williams or Andrea Goff who are both co-chairing the Interfaith Group.
From weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs to business functions and lectures, our facility is a great setting and location for your special occasion.
